Hi - well being a bit of a gadget freak i woz looking to replace my twin tuner with (probably) a humax, but came across this little box by accident. What a cracker! Got mine from 3wisemonkeys for 60 squid plus a fiver postage..............bargain!!

Very smart (expensive) looking box for the money and I like the control you have over recordings.

One question - my firmware is 1.01, but the site is showing an update of 1.10, is this an actual update or has someone transposed the 0?

Thanx

Hi Hornet and welcome to the forum
This sound like an upgrade, but if your machine is working I would think about upgrading.
All of the pvr's give problems but most of us on the forum think it's a great machine.

Hi - another newbie with a question...

Just bought an Inverto IDL7000 from 3wisemonkeys. Arrived this morning, have set it up and eveything seems to be working ok. Hardware version is 210V17; software is 1.010 (build date July 2007); bootloader version 2.00.

However, I can't get rid of EC1/RGB in white capitals at the top left of the screen. This only appears when I am using the Inverto tuners - it is not there when I bypass the Inverto and use the Freeview tuner in my Panasonic TV.

Any suggestions as to what's causing this and how I can cure it would be most welcome.

Thanks

Look for a symbol on your TV remote which looks like a rectangle(representing the screen), with a + sign inside the rectangle.

If you press this it toggles the EC1/RGB dog on or off.

At least it does on my Panasonic TV.

Hopes this helps

Hi Geoffelt

I don't seem to have that symbol on my remote - the closest thing to it is the aspect button. I've tried everything I can on the remote so unless I'm missing a hidden menu somewhere, I'm at a loss.

If it is a setting on the Panasonic TV that is causing this, it seems strange that it only appears when I'm using the Inverto tuners and doesn't appear when I just watch using the Panasonic tuner.

What is EC1/RGB anyway?

Press the i key twice in quick succession on the TV remote as it might have locked somehow.

If not try here:-

I sorted out the same problem with my in-laws' Sony TV. They had been quietly tolerating the green icon while playing DVDs for a couple of years... I was pretty sure this was not necessary!
