General Discussion / Toppy website gone?« Last post by ukbeachbum on Yesterday at 07:05:06 PM »Hello all,
I know this doesn't technically have anything to do with Vertys, but I'm wondering if anyone else who has been forced to find another machine, and has chosen the Topfield, is able to get onto their website:www.toppy.org.uk ? I had a small crash for unknown reasons and when I went there looking for help it seems to have...well...disappeared. ![]() I could really use some advice on how to reinstall MyStuff, but all the forums are down. Also I just tried to reinstall MyStuff using the MyStuff installer and first thing it wants to do is go to the toppy site and check for updates, and when it can't connect, it closes down. Again, sorry for leaning on this forum, but it has always been so helpful in the past. Anyone have any ideas? 4
Problems & Advice / Re: Lemon 070PVR« Last post by Kel280green on September 01, 2010, 07:19:53 PM »Hi Colin. If I remember correctly, my Lemon 070PVR always had a relatively well-populated EPG up to about three days. It never reached full 7-day capacity and that was one of the reasons I chose to sell it.
If you are only getting a now & next guide, it maybe that the UK freeview EPG is no longer compatible with the Lemons European EPG capture software. I haven't heard of any changes to the UK guide, but thats not to say it hasn't happened!!! Do you have use of another UK model PVR, or digital TV that you could check is getting the full EPG or not? If so, this would rule out a transmitter fault. The only other recommendation that I could give is to ensure that the 'constant EPG scan' channel is set to BBC 1. This did give a (somewhat) quicker population. Did you buy the PVR new and does it have a manual? I remember that a little tweaking could change a lot of things and so access to the manual would be beneficial. Let me know how you get on. Tim 5

I don't think the EPG constant scan is 'off', as I get the next hour or so's programmes come up on the EPG, though as you say, often slowly. But it never goes beyond an hour and a half ahead. Though I will check it. I'm beginning to think I bought a lemon in more senses than one and will just have to swallow the pill and get something else. Any recommendations ? Colin 6
Problems & Advice / Re: EPG not updating -again« Last post by Kel280green on August 30, 2010, 06:58:37 PM »I recently e-mailed Inverto just to 'remind' them of the EPG problem and today (August 30th), I received this reply:-
Hello, We are still working on this fix, but we are depending on Inview. So far they are not willing to restart the transmission or offer any other solution, we don’t know exactly when this problem will be solved. Best Regards, JB Field Applications Engineer Tel: +352 264367 0 Mail: info@inverto.tv www.inverto.tv So it looks as though a possible firmware upgrade is less likely than first thought ![]() I have sent a reply asking for a straight 'yes' or 'no' to an upgrade. If Inverto are not willing to go down that route, then I hope that they have the decency to say so and not keep us in suspense! Tim 7
Problems & Advice / Re: Lemon 070PVR« Last post by Kel280green on August 30, 2010, 06:35:14 PM »I used to own a Lemon 070PVR (terrestrial version) and it is virtually identical to the UK Inverto models.
However, the firmware is totally different and the Lemon is configured to use a 'live' EPG, rather than the 14-day downloaded type that the UK models use (although now discontinued). During my ownership of the Lemon, I noticed that the current days EPG loaded very quickly, but subsequent days took much longer. There is also an option in the menu to have a constant EPG scan on or off. Is it possible that you have turned it off by mistake? Other than this, I cannot see why the EPG has gone! Sorry that I cannot be of more help. Tim 8
Problems & Advice / Re: Lemon 070PVR« Last post by dmp on August 29, 2010, 08:45:04 PM »HI Colin and welcome to the forum, I'm not sure if the lemon is the same as the terrestrial version, but I'm sure someone who has one of these units will post a reply.

Problems & Advice / Lemon 070PVR« Last post by colin williams on August 29, 2010, 08:28:27 PM »I bought a Lemon 070 PVR about six months ago.
Now the EPG has gone, is there anyway I can manually programme recordings three or four hours ahead? The manual has no reference to maually programming recording times. 10
Problems & Advice / Re: EPG not updating -[ever] again« Last post by Glosphil on August 24, 2010, 04:53:21 PM »I've ended up with a Humax 9150-T Grade A from Humax direct. Apart from a doa remote control which was replaced by 1st class post - it does a good job (£90) - it has plus and minus points. My Humax 9300-T Grade A from Humax Direct cost me £119 and does have 'channel name' display on the front. I have also noticed that the teletext is much, much faster than the Inverto. I will post the result of my letter to Superfi requesting a full refund for the two Invertos that I purchased in January/February this year. |
